Electrolyte smoothie
A quick energy boost, packed full of essential electrolytes and probiotics
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- ½ cup of coconut water
- ¼ cup of fresh orange juice
- ½ cup of 0% fat Greek yoghurt
- A pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon of honey or maple syrup
- A handful of spinach
- Ice cubes (optional)
Some of the side effects of weight loss injections can cause digestive issues like diarrhoea, which can lead to dehydration. When this happens, your body can become low in essential electrolytes.
This smoothie contains loads of these essential electrolytes, helping boost your body’s hydration levels and maintaining fluid balance. It’s also got natural sugars for quick energy and salt for sodium levels. And lastly, the greek yoghurt helps support your gut health while giving it a nice creamy texture.
Instructions:
- Add the banana, coconut water, orange juice, yoghurt, salt, honey/maple syrup and spinach to the blender. If you prefer a colder smoothie, add a few ice cubes.
- Blend on high until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the smoothie has a smooth, creamy texture. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more coconut water or plain water to achieve your desired consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into a large glass and drink immediately to enjoy the maximum benefits of the nutrients and electrolytes.
