Definition:

In weight training, a set refers to a group of repetitions (reps) of a particular exercise performed consecutively with little to no rest in between.

So if you’re doing bicep curls, for example, one complete bicep curl motion counts as one rep. If you perform ten bicep curls without stopping, that’s considered one set of ten reps.

The number of sets you perform for each exercise will typically depend on your fitness goals and the specific workout plan you’re following
