Fad diet

Definition:

A fad diet is a popular but short-lived eating plan that promotes quick and easy weight loss, often with unreasonable claims. They also tend to be restrictive, eliminating entire food groups or involving unusual food combinations.

Fad diets are often not backed by strong scientific evidence and can be bad for your health. They can lead to nutrient deficiencies, fatigue, muscle loss and eating disorders. [1]
